[CAD ID] How to hide any particular member from the drawing view?

Question

How to hide any particular member from the drawing view?

Answer

To demonstrate this, we modeled a pier in CIM and generated its drawing view in CAD ID, as shown below.

Follow the steps given below to hide/unhide member objects from a drawing view:

Step 1: In 'CIM mode' of CAD ID, using cursor cross-selection, select the desired drawing view box.

Once selected, the Object menu panel will be displayed at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
This panel displays all object-related information for that specific view.

Step 2: Click the arrow next to the Concrete Member section to expand the list of concrete members visible in the drawing view.

Step 3: In the Concrete member dropdown, uncheck the members you want to hide from the view.

Once checked off, the object will be hidden from view. A result of the process mentioned above is shown below.

To show the member again, simply check on the member in the Object menu panel.

By following these steps, you can easily control the visibility of structural members within your drawing views.
