How to use the "Midas DWG Convert" application?

 

Answer

The Midas DWG Convert application is a standalone tool that allows you to convert DWG files into lower DWG or DXF versions without opening Midas CAD ID. This is especially helpful when sharing files with users working on older software versions.

 

Steps to Use Midas DWG Convert:

 

Launch the Midas DWG Convert application.

Note: The Midas DWG Convert application is attached below for your reference.

 

Step 1: Select the "Conversion method" 

  • Single File: to select and convert one DWG file at a time
  • Multiple Files: to select and convert multiple DWG files at a time

 

Step 2: In the Input File box, paste the file path of your DWG file that you want to convert.

  • You can use   icon to navigate and select the input file-path location

 

Step 3: In the Output File section, paste the file-path location of your Output file.

  • By Default the converted file will be saved to the same folder where original DWG file is located.
  • You can use icon to navigate and select the output file-path location.

 

Step 4: Set the desired version of your file

  • You can choose the file type and version from the dropdown list

 

Step 5(optional): Check-On the option "Convert more files" if you want to convert more DWG file

  • If you Check-Off this option, after completion of the current file conversion, the application will close automatically.

 

Step 6: Click on the "Finish" button to convert the DWG file to your desired version of DWG or DXF file.

Once completed, your files will be available in the selected output file-path location.
