How to copy-paste geometry of any object from CAD to Microsoft Word or PowerPoint?
Answer
Follow the steps below to copy and paste any CAD Object to Microsoft PowerPoint or Word:
Step 1: Using cursor cross-selection, select the object you want to copy and paste
Step 2: After selecting the object, press the right-click button of the mouse
A menu panel shall appear in the model window,
Step 3: Go to Clipboard>Copy as Window Meta Data
[After selecting objects, alternatively, user can use the Shortcut key: Ctrl + Shift + W or Write the command in Command line as "COPYCLIPMETAFILE" for same option.]
CAD ID will create a meta file of that particular object, which can be pasted into Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or other supported apps.
For the demonstration, we pasted the displayed CAD object into Word.
Step 5: Paste it into supported software.
