Question
How to create rebar schedule in CAD ID?
Answer
In CAD Infra Design, when working with the views generated from CIM to extract material information, a function
material table is available. This command allows users to generate schedules for several components as tables
which can then be used in the detailing sheets in CAD ID. An example of generating a rebar schedule table in
CAD ID is highlighted below.
Step 1 - In the CAD ID interface, click on Infra Design icon
From the sub functions choose rebar schedule command
Step 2 - In the sub option of Material Table, click Rebar Schedule
A Rebar Schedule window appears as shown below
Here, several sub functions and property panes are available for customization of the final table.
Table - Title of the table can be added here.
Style - Display style pattern of the text, integers etc can be defined here. Any existing style pattern can also be
imported in this window. Supported file format is (.rtd)
Table Column - Three sub functions are available here. The Field function comprises of a list of Rebar properties
in the program. In the Column function, users can choose and add the Fields. These fields are the sub titles of the
final schedule. The fields can be arranged as per the required sequence. The fields display output can be adjusted
by constraints such as Alternate Text, Unit, Precision of integers, Rounding of values and Provision of sorting of
fields in the table.
Rebar - This sub function allows to choose the set of rebars from the drawing view.
Cell Margin - The table orientation such as size and heights can be controlled here.
Layer and Text Style - The CAD Layer and the Text font styles can be managed here.
Option - Additional parameters for a rebar schedule are provided here.
Rebar Shape - A 2D diagram of the rebar can be added to the schedule and the shape scale can be controlled.
Use the arrows pointing left and right to add and subtract Fields from the Column.
