Create design strips from the created support lines.
Call
From the Main Menu
select [Post Tension] tab > [Design Strip] group > [Design Strip] > [Create Design Strip]
Input
Create Design Strip
Click the (...) button next to Create Design Strip in the Tree Menu to navigate to the Design Strip Table.
Methods
Edge to Edge: Design strips and design sections are generated based on the clear span, measured between the faces (edges) of adjacent supports.
Center to Center: Design strips and design sections are generated based on the centerline spacing between adjacent supports.
Create Design Strip Method
All Support Line: Automatically generates design strips using all available support lines.
By Selected Support Line: Generates design strips only for support lines selected by the user.
Arrangement of Design Sections
Column Center – Center: Design sections are arranged based on the center-to-center distance between adjacent column supports.
Column Edge – Edge: Design sections are arranged based on the clear span between adjacent column supports.
No.of Design Sections per Span
Specify the number of design sections to be generated within each support span.
Note.
It is recommended to use an odd number of design sections per span to ensure that a design section is generated at the mid-span location.
This helps capture and visualise the maximum or extreme design effects more accurately in the results.
Apply
Click Apply to create the Design Strips.
