Serviceability Load Combination

Function

Assigns service load combinations for post-tensioned slab serviceability checks. The selected load combinations are categorized as Initial, Sustained, and Total loading conditions for stress and serviceability evaluation.

Call

From the Main Menu

select [Post Tension] tab > [Design] group > [Design Parameters] > [Serviceability Load Combination]

Input

Load Combinations: Displays the list of load combinations defined in the model and available for serviceability evaluation.

Initial Load

Represents the load condition immediately after prestress transfer, before the occurrence of time-dependent effects such as creep, shrinkage, and prestress losses.

Load Combination

1.0 D + 1.0 PTI

Sustained Load

Represents the long-term service condition considering creep, shrinkage, and prestress losses.

Load Combinations

1.0 D + 1.0 PTL

1.0 D + 0.3 L + 1.0 (PTL)

1.0 D + 0.5 L + 1.0 (PTL)

Total Load

Represents the maximum service load condition with all applicable service loads acting simultaneously.

Load Combination

1.0 D + 1.0 L + 1.0 (PTL)

Notation

D (Dead Load): Self-weight and dead load

L (Live Load): Live load

PTI (Initial Prestress Force): Initial prestress force immediately after stressing

PTL (Long-term Prestress): Effective prestress reflecting long-term losses

Move Right (→): Transfers the selected load combination from the available load combination list to the selected loading condition category.

Move Left (←): Removes the selected load combination from the assigned loading condition category and returns it to the available load combination list.

OK: Save the serviceability load combination assignments.

Close: Close the dialog without applying changes.
