PT Slab Rebar for Checking

Function

Enter the reinforcement details provided along the selected design strip for PT slab design check verification.

The design strip can be divided into up to three segments using start and end locations, allowing different reinforcement details to be assigned along the strip length.

Call

From the Main Menu

select [Post Tension] tab > [Analysis] group > [Rebar Input] > [PT Slab Rebar for Checking]

Input

Selection

Story: Select the story containing the design strip.

Design Strip: Select the design strip for which reinforcement data will be provided

Design Strip Reinforcement View

Displays the selected design strip, design section locations, span length, and reinforcement distribution along the strip.

The reinforcement layout is divided into three regions along the span:

I-Part: Support region near the start of the span where negative moments may govern the reinforcement requirements.

M-Part: Mid-span region where positive moments generally govern the reinforcement requirements.

J-Part: Support region near the end of the span where negative moments may govern the reinforcement requirements.

Table

Span: Span number associated with the reinforcement data.

T/B: Indicates whether the reinforcement needs to be placed at the Top or Bottom face of the slab.

dc: Distance from the concrete face to the centre of reinforcement used for design calculations.

Method: Specifies the method used to define reinforcement within the selected region.

Number: Reinforcement is defined by specifying the number of bars to be provided.

Spacing: Reinforcement is defined by specifying the centre-to-centre spacing of bars.

Starting: Starting design section number defines the extent of the reinforcement region.

Ending: The ending design section number defines the extent of the reinforcement region.

No. of: Number of reinforcing bars provided when 'Number' is selected as the method.

Rebar: Reinforcing bar size assigned to the region.

Spacing: Centre-to-centre spacing of reinforcing bars when spacing is selected as the method.

Connect Model View

Synchronises the reinforcement display with the active model view.

Basic Rebar Data

Opens the Design Criteria for Rebar dialog to review or modify the basic reinforcement settings.

Strip Information

Story: Select the story containing the design strip.

Strip Name: Select the design strip for which reinforcement data will be provided

Basic Rebar for PT Slab

Enable the use of basic reinforcement requirements for the post-tensioned slab design.

Top: Specify the reinforcing bar size and spacing to be provided at the top face of the slab.

Bot.: Specify the reinforcing bar size and spacing to be provided at the bottom face of the slab.

OK: Apply the specified basic rebar inputs to the selected design strip.

Close: Close the dialog without applying changes.

Apply: Apply the specified reinforcement modifications to the selected design strip.
