Design Criteria for Rebar

Function 

Enter the standard sizes of main and sub-rebars used in the design of the PT Slab.

 

Call

From the Main Menu 

select [Post Tension] tab > [Analysis] group > [Rebar Input] > [Design Criteria for Rebar]

 

Input

Basic Rebar for PT Slab

Enable the use of basic reinforcement requirements for the post-tensioned slab design.

Top: Specify the reinforcing bar size and spacing to be provided at the top face of the slab.

Bot.: Specify the reinforcing bar size and spacing to be provided at the bottom face of the slab.

 

Additional Rebar for PT Slab

Rebar: Specifies the reinforcing bar sizes available for additional reinforcement design. During design, the program selects the appropriate bar size from the specified list.

[Rebar...] option:  Opens the reinforcement definition dialog for specifying available reinforcing bar sizes. A maximum of five bar sizes can be selected.

Spacing: Specifies the available reinforcement spacings for additional reinforcement design. During design, the program selects the appropriate spacing from the specified list.

[Spacing...] option:  Opens the reinforcement spacing definition dialog for specifying available reinforcement spacings.

 

Concrete Face to Centre of Rebar

dT: Specify the distance from the top concrete surface to the centreline of the top reinforcement layer.

dB: Specify the distance from the bottom concrete surface to the centreline of the bottom reinforcement layer.

 

OK: Save the specified reinforcement design criteria.

Close: Close the dialog without applying changes.
