How to Obtain Local Factor of Safety in Slopes?

Answer

This boundary condition allows users to include or exclude specific elements or mesh sets from participating in a Strength Reduction Method (SRM) analysis. It is applicable only within construction stage analyses. Using this tool in standalone SRM or SAM analysis cases will not activate the inclusion zones.

For an open pit mine, the local slip surfaces for different zones are located based on SRM Inclusion as shown below:
