Overview
• Exports data from the CIM model to an Excel file. Two export types are provided.
Information Data : Saves a separate Excel file with the same structure as InfoX Sheet. This is an independent file not linked to CIM.
Bill of Quantities (BOQ) : Outputs a quantity summary table to an Excel file based on the Structure hierarchy.
Caution
This feature is different from Information > Open Link.
Open Link opens and edits the InfoX Sheet while maintaining a live connection with CIM,
whereas Export XLS saves a separate Excel file independent of CIM.
Any modifications made after saving will not be reflected in CIM.
Execute
[Base Mode]
• File > Export > XLS
Description
Information Data
Saves a separate Excel file with the same structure as InfoX Sheet.
Use this when you need an Excel file to be used independently from CIM, such as for external sharing, backup, or data integration with other software.
Note
Modifications made to a file saved as Information Data will not be reflected in CIM.
To edit data while maintaining a live connection with CIM, use Information > Open Link.
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Outputs a quantity summary table to an Excel file based on the Structure hierarchy.
Sheets are created per the selected Level, and each sheet aggregates the quantities of objects under the corresponding Structure.
• Structure
Select the Structure hierarchy to be used as the aggregation basis.
If multiple Structures are defined in CIM, you can freely select the one that fits your purpose.
Example : If Structure-1 has a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and Structure-2 has a CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure),
– Selecting Structure-1 generates a summary table based on WBS.
– Selecting Structure-2 generates a summary table based on CBS.
• Level
Select the Level to be used as the aggregation basis. The Level list defined in the selected Structure is displayed.
Sheets are created according to the tree structure of the selected Level, and each sheet title is formatted as [Structure Level] [Structure Name].
Example : When Level 6 is selected, if L6 consists of P01 and P02, separate summary sheets named L6 P01 and L6 P02 are created.
Note
The Structure selection for BOQ is independent of the Structure set in InfoX Sheet (Generate).
Aggregation is performed based on IFCGUID, so the GUID does not change depending on the Structure hierarchy.
Therefore, you can freely combine different Structure hierarchies, such as creating InfoX Sheet based on WBS while aggregating BOQ based on CBS.
Summary Sheet Structure
The summary table aggregates quantity items defined in the QUANTITY SET sheet and USER QSET sheet of InfoX Sheet.
Items defined in both sheets are aggregated based on the selected Structure and Level, and each summary sheet is structured as follows.
• Work Type and Specification (Row Structure)
Quantity items from the QUANTITY SET sheet and USER QSET sheet are organized as rows.
Different combinations of Work Type / Specification 1 / Specification 2 are separated into individual rows for aggregation.
Example : Even for Concrete Placement, different material grades are aggregated in separate rows.
• Sub-Structure (Column)
Structure Names belonging to the sub-Levels under the aggregation basis Level are organized as columns.
Each column aggregates the quantities of objects belonging to the corresponding sub-Structure.
• OWN (Column)
Objects directly assigned to an aggregation level are organized into a single aggregation column (OWN).
• Total (Column)
The overall total for each quantity item is displayed.
Note
Objects not assigned to the Structure tree are aggregated separately in the Unassigned sheet.
